Every now and then people get down in the dumps and that’s fine. Life’s a rollercoaster you know? For me personally, I start to get a bit down when I’m looking at the bigger picture. What’s going to happen when I graduate? What’s it going to be like with a real job? Will I ever get a real job?
Instead, people should just focus on now. Right now I’m writing. I’m not great at writing but I like my conversational style. I’m just tapping along and I’ll look up to give my neck a rest and holy shit the guy sitting opposite me is picking his nose.
Seriously. He looks like a grown man and he’s picking his nose. But it’s not just here. If you focus on the now you’ll see it everywhere. I was driving earlier today, stopped at a red light and I looked in my rearview mirror at the driver behind me and you know what?
The driver was picking her nose. She was pretty and had her finger lodged in there nice and tight. Clearly she had one that needed a little more than the casual pick.
It made me laugh. People always tell little kids not to pick their nose. It’s gross. You’ll spread germs. You’ll make your nose bleed. No wonder kids don’t listen because I’ve seen 2 people pick their nose already today and it’s only 3:40!
Next time you’re feeling down in the dumps, have a look around and count the booger pickers. It’ll be fun.
