So here I am for the aftermath. Anyone who’s keeping track of the time stamps will notice that i’m posting this pretty damn close to when I uploaded the pre-night out post. This is because sleep is for the weak and my god do I wish I was weak right now. In about one hour I will have been awake for 24 hours. Twenty. Four. That’s almost an entire day!
The night out was a success I suppose. I had too many alcoholic drinks, as did everyone else. We managed to get a mate of mine to dance with girls he didn’t want to (that was a lot of fun) and it was generally a pretty good night. Then someone gets bored. Now, I understand that this little gathering was for a birthday boy. I get that. It’s his thing, he can do what he wants. One of the girls he’s invited says “I’m bored of this club that we just started out at. I wanna go to this other club that costs money for guys to get in but I can get in for free”
…I might be paraphrasing there. Little bit.
Anyway, that happened. My mate, not the birthday boy, and I are less than thrilled to have to relocate to a place that has a cover charge. After about…. far too long arguing (felt like 40 minutes, was probably closer to 20) we decide to settle on a pub that is literally 200 metres from this newly suggested place.
We arrive, make new friends who didn’t get along with all of mine and suddenly it’s 2am and there are no more trains. Well shit. A game of pool or two and more heated arguments results in yet another relocation. Since, you know, that’s not going to end badly.
WE ENDED UP AT THE CASINO! I didn’t have money for a casino… that was less than enjoyable. I sat there and played with my phone. Shamelessplug: Dinosaur Wars is a stupid farmvillian game but I have fun with it nonetheless.
Finally to top it all off, this night did not go according to plan at all. My little “Have you met…” game didn’t yield me any results (not that I really wanted them at this point, but that’s another post for another time) and I failed in my plan to damage as many people as I could. It’s not easy when your party in the city decides to split into people who can and people who can’t afford cover charges.
Oh yeah, and nothing against her here, but as lovely as my ex girlfriend is, I didn’t need a message from her halfway through the night. I’ll forgive her, I always do. Her heart’s in the right place, just I wasn’t for this message.
All in all I give this night a 4/10. Could have been a lot worse but I wouldn’t have minded if it improved.
