My parents always told me I like to learn the hard way. I really wish they could be wrong sometimes. Oh well, here we are. After that last post at close to 8am I decided to sleep because 24 hours straight is never a good idea for anything, least of all time without sleep. I need that beauty sleep.
Cut forward maybe 10.5 hours and I’m being woken up by Dad at 5pm. That’s cool, I wasn’t really a fan of the sun anyway. I decided to check my phone like I do any time I wake up to find several opinions on my last post. There were a couple of people who didn’t really like what I had to say. Maybe I should kill this project off. Being honest is something I like to try to do, but unfortunately we’re stuck with this terrible language that we call English. Sometimes the meaning is lost in the words we write.
After waking up to a half empty house Mum arrives home from Nonnas* house. As always she returns from this trip with enough food to feed a small army. Pack it away with no help from my youngest brother but again, no surprises there. Mum then needs to go to the shops because obviously we didn’t have enough food. –Note to self, start taking pictures so people will understand just how much food was actually there–
I was voluntarily conscripted into helping her with this. I honestly didn’t mind doing this. I mean, I had to do something remotely productive today and with the light rapidly abandoning us I figured this could be it. Leave for the shops, Mum making sure I’m feeling alright after my night out. Never been able to hide anything from that woman. Nothing particularly exciting happens while we’re at the shops. Mum sees some people she knows but for me it was fairly standard. Push the trolley and make decisions on brands of food to buy even though I don’t have a preference.
Come home…close to 7pm I think. I think. Man, I thought this blog was supposed to help with my memory. Nevermind, then it’s time to start preparing dinner. Yeah. Dinner. Two hours after waking up. Damn, get your shit together Dacria. Help out a little with that, setting the table mostly and just staying out of the way while everyone else knows what to do.
After dinner I decided to play World of Warcraft. That’s how I roll. It’s a good way to keep my mind off things that have been getting me down lately, like checking my phone when I don’t need to (read the previous post if this doesn’t make sense). That brings this tale to now. Damn this short day.
Things that I should have done today including working and making some money but that didn’t go according to plan. The new manager is… um… well let’s just say that words like that in the exact combination I have in my head shouldn’t be said or written in case anyone can tie this back to me. Oh. Well.
Seems to be the way of things these days. Oh well. Just keep on trudging forward.
